Breakfast in Hotel New Akao

Property building, Sunrise/Sunset in Hotel New Akao
The hotel lobby was painted white that looks clean & neat and the smell was really good …like a fragrance of a flower that really attracted my attention.I paid ¥1,000 for the parking fee but it’s ok.parking was very near to the hotel. The breakfast was served with healthy foods( Japanese )good for the people who have high chloresterol and avoiding fattyfoods.I like the fried fish they served and the umeboshi & vegetable salad. You can also bring a free coffee ☕️ in your room. There’s a free paper cups w/ a cover to prevent fr.spilling, sugar& creamer readied in the front of the restaurant. Fr.my room ,I can view the beach & the beautiful sunrise. The space of the room was very large nor the bed.The floor that I’m staying is very quiet ,you can’t hear any noise outside. The amenities are great ,shampoos, conditioner, body soap ,face milk lotion are fr. POLA brand. There’s a bottle for free water in my room but you have to fill it by going to a certain room ( same floor)where the Refill Water was installed.Got water twice for my children cup noodles& drinking water. I experienced to bath in their 7 onsen. There are complete in amenities too.It was fun . I recommend this place ,if you really want to enjoy your travel .Better to get a plan w/ Breakfast& Dinner coz there’s no convenient store nor restaurant outside the hotel. But if you really want to save you can bring snacks or cup noodles.

The baths by the sea are fantastic! Beautifully designed, seem newly renovated and have a spectacular view. Also the view from the rooms is great. I was instantly relaxed upon arrival. The interior is a mix of 80s and newly renovated. I found it very charming. In terms of food we preferred the Japanese options over the Western ones. The choice is somewhat limited if you are staying for more than a night or two. But the town is very easy to reach by taxi, via the shuttle or even on foot and has plenty of food options on offer. The only thing we missed was a lounge or an area to just hang out. But since the baths were so beautiful and the rooms spacious with a great view, we didn’t miss that all that much. I can highly recommend New Akao if you are looking for a beautiful onsen with a view and an environment for relaxation.

Breakfast was limited to Jpse food but it was a nice variety of healthy, natural, and delicious items. Dinner at the Jpse restaurant was also quiet good and very reasonable for kaiseki dinner. Sake flight was very nice too, and service was excellent. The 7th floor deluxe king room was spacious, clean, well-equipped and had a great ocean view. The room has obviously been renovated, everything looked quite new. Confirmed on checkout that they used COVID downturn to renovate rooms. Both onsen baths were nice - use the one on B1 floor for best ocean view.

Compared to other spots I stayed in Japan. This is a gem. A bit more old fashion in design, with that comes with services from staff I haven't seen many modern hotels match. Staff greets at guests and assists with luggage before I even enter the building. Check-in and luggage drop off was nice, early arrivals can leave baggage with storage and staff will move it your room for you by the time you checked-in. Great facility and location to enjoy the onsen at this spot.

It’s a wonderful three-night stay. The hotel is so sweet, providing tasty welcome drinks and desserts, particularly the desserts. We finally found it at the station and bought a bunch of them. And the most impressive part is definitely the fireworks as hotel considerately prepared their own private balcony for watching it which was quite a splendid place with awesome view. The hotel also has staff who can speak English. It’s so nice for foreign visitors!
