We had an excellent time at this hotel in Atami. I booked 2 twin rooms for myself and a couple of family members for 2 nights in the Ocean Wing part of the hotel with half board included (Japanese breakfast and dinner) and we were very happy with our stay. Amazing things about the hotel we liked: - Fantastic sea view from everywhere from the hotel, including our rooms and the terrace on the reception floor - The hotel staff were very friendly and polite to us throughout. - Great real hot spring baths, including open air ones - Atami is one of the best Onsen places in Japan. There are private baths you could book too. - Japanese dinner (inclusive) was amazing with lots of local fish and vegetable ingredients dished with such beauty and intricacy. - Japanese breakfast (inclusive) was also great. - They accommodate vegetarians very well for breakfast and dinner. - They offer a shuttle bus service to and from Atami station. - Atami is less known to overseas tourists so there is an authentic feel to it. We stayed here to visit Hakone, which isn’t far on the train. There are lots of interesting small traditional shops in the town. - You get a discount voucher for drinks etc for skipping room cleaning. Things to note: - Main onsen baths are traditional ‘naked’ public baths (you could book a private one however) - The hotel complex is massive so it takes a bit of time to get used to what’s where. - For us, inclusive breakfast and dinner were Japanese and a prefixed menu. There are other restaurants in the hotel including a French one I think. - You can’t easily walk down to Atami town so it’s best to use a taxi or a shuttle bus. The beach in Atami is very tiny. We would really recommend the hotel! :)

The hotel lobby was painted white that looks clean & neat and the smell was really good …like a fragrance of a flower that really attracted my attention.I paid ¥1,000 for the parking fee but it’s ok.parking was very near to the hotel. The breakfast was served with healthy foods( Japanese )good for the people who have high chloresterol and avoiding fattyfoods.I like the fried fish they served and the umeboshi & vegetable salad. You can also bring a free coffee ☕️ in your room. There’s a free paper cups w/ a cover to prevent fr.spilling, sugar& creamer readied in the front of the restaurant. Fr.my room ,I can view the beach & the beautiful sunrise. The space of the room was very large nor the bed.The floor that I’m staying is very quiet ,you can’t hear any noise outside. The amenities are great ,shampoos, conditioner, body soap ,face milk lotion are fr. POLA brand. There’s a bottle for free water in my room but you have to fill it by going to a certain room ( same floor)where the Refill Water was installed.Got water twice for my children cup noodles& drinking water. I experienced to bath in their 7 onsen. There are complete in amenities too.It was fun . I recommend this place ,if you really want to enjoy your travel .Better to get a plan w/ Breakfast& Dinner coz there’s no convenient store nor restaurant outside the hotel. But if you really want to save you can bring snacks or cup noodles.

Located right on the cliff overlooking the ocean, the views are spectacular! It’s third time to stay here and the Horizon wing is bright, airy and nicely furnished. The ryokan style dinner was truly amazing… so delicious, full of the freshest seasonal fare ( seafood etc) and the restaurant staff were excellent. There is a choice of several onsen baths and also a courtesy bus to and from Atami Station and the Akao Forest gardens. The rose gardens were amazing, truly beautiful and well tended by dedicated staff. There are several activities for water sports, kayaking, sup paddle boarding etc as well as yoga on the weekends. It was nice to see the hotel provide dog friendly rooms and these seemed very popular with people wanting to stay with their pets.

Absolutely adored the view. The hotel can seem a little too big at times, but personally I think it adds to its charm. I appreciated the small details like the hallway with posters that teach you about some of Atami's places and history, or the little treasure hunt game. I like the fact that they provide a water bottle and a dispenser on each floor. I also liked the retro game arcade and bar. And, of course, the bath! The food was great, we got a special course meal for dinner and a Japanese style set menu for breakfast, did not expect this. Shuttle service was very useful.

The meal experience was truly amazing and also somewhat unusual. It was in a huge ballroom with hundreds of guests served buffet style. Guests are encouraged to wear the uniforms (pajama type tops and trousers) so the scene was like a socialist banquet. The quality of the food was truly exceptional, however. The best thing about the hotel was the massage service which was one of the best massages I have ever had (from Morita-san). The view from my room overlooking the ocean was fabulous. The outdoor onsen overlooking the see was even better (in the other wing).
